Bambi Mini Co. expands heartfelt kids sock initiative to support children’s hospitals around the country.
Bambi Mini Co. and Chemist Warehouse are teaming up to raise much needed funds for the vital work of children’s hospitals around the country, expanding their charity sock campaign to support the Sydney Children’s Hospital and Mater Hospitals Mater Little Miracles in Queensland in addition to their existing work with the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal in Melbourne and Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Determined to make a difference, Nicole Verrocchi, mum and founder of Bambi Mini Co, has expanded the brands heartfelt initiative, with the aim to raise essential funds but also to highlight the pioneering research being undertaken at the hospitals. Every pair of socks purchased during this campaign brings us closer to improving the health and well-being of sick kids in Australia.
The sock campaign was inspired by Raffi Verrocchi, Nicole’s son, after he was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2020 when he was just two years old. What started as a small fundraiser with the help of family, friends and Chemist Warehouse, has now raised nearly $600,000 for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital since 2021 through the Good Friday Appeal. In 2024, the initiative expanded, raising an additional $100,000 for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (PCHF) and now with a further two children’s hospitals on-board in 2025, the sky is the limit.

Each state will drive awareness and donations for their local children’s hospital through the sock initiative and via till donations in all Chemist Warehouse stores nation-wide.
This year’s sock designs were personally selected by Raffi and his younger sister Flossy. The 2025 space-themed collection boasts two fun designs,“Sunny the Happy Planet” and “Sparkles the Shooting Star”, created by Australian artist Cass Danson and will be available for $4.99 per pack. Each pair also includes a limited edition sticker sheet.
“We wanted the socks to be a symbol of hope and a vehicle to drive donations,” said Nicole Verrocchi. “We’re thrilled to see this initiative grow and support even more hospitals across the country. I’m always asking, ‘How can we do more?’ Whether it’s raising funds or bringing a little joy to kids in the oncology unit, there’s always more we can give.”

“The Chemist Warehouse Group is proud to continue our strong partnership with Bambi Mini Co. exclusively stocking their charity socks and working hand in hand to raise awareness and much needed funds for sick children. We are excited to see their fundraising expand in 2025 to include Queensland and New South Wales and look forward to seeing the incredible impact of their work around Australia,” said Mario Tascone, Director Chemist Warehouse.
Colin Allen, Chief Philanthropy Officer at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, said: "For the 167,000 children cared for across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network each year, childhood is far from what it should be. Whether they’re a toddler or a teenager, fighting a common illness or rare disease, from an inner-city suburb or regional town, Chemist Warehouse and Bambi Mini Co’s support will help change the future for sick kids and ensure every child and young person has access to the best possible healthcare, whenever or wherever they need it.”

"The Good Friday Appeal is grateful to Nicky Verrocchi and Chemist Warehouse, with almost $600,000 raised over the last 4 years. Each year, the new Bambi Mini Co sock range brings fun and hope to kids, raising important funds for The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, helping kids like Raffi live their best lives and thrive" said Rebecca Cowan, Executive Director, Good Friday Appeal.
“The Mater Little Miracles program is dedicated to giving every sick and premature baby the best possible start in life, and initiatives like this make a real difference,” said Andrew Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Mater Foundation.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Bambi Mini Co. and Chemist Warehouse for expanding this heartfelt campaign to support Mater’s tiniest patients. Every pair of socks sold will help fund life-saving research, cutting-edge equipment, and essential care for Queensland’s most vulnerable babies.” Mr Thomas said.

Carrick Robinson, CEO of Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, said: “We are excited to again partner with Bambi Mini Co. and Chemist Warehouse’s for their impactful sock initiative.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity of the WA community, last year we raised over $100,000 to support ground-breaking immunotherapy research that has the potential to transform the way we treat childhood cancer.
“This research holds the potential to significantly improve outcomes and reduce some of the harsh side effects of treatment for kids like Raffi. Every pair of socks purchased in WA during the 2025 campaign will bring us another step closer to improving the lives of kids fighting cancer.”

The exclusive Bambi Mini Co. socks are available online and in-store at Chemist Warehouse for $4.99 per pack from February 27th until April 23rd 2025. Extra donations can also be made at Chemist Warehouse tills across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales from March 10th to April 23rd 2025, and September 30th to October 31st for Western Australia.
